Good to read about your first harvesting. We too started this year in East Herts. We have had an interesting experience with swarming and had to quickly set up a second hive when we found that the swarm was not ours.
We have also not yet purchased a centrifuge and would be interested in borrowing or hiring one. I have hunted through the web to see if there are associations which hire out equipment. Have not yet found one in Hertfordshire/north London. It is quite an investment and also quite a lot of kit to store for 11 months of the year!
